Join us to celebrate five new exhibitions at an Open House featuring workshops, music, and talks with artists and curators. The entire day is free and open to the public.

At 12:30 p.m., participate in Balik Sa Bayan, a workshop centering mutual aid efforts to connect communities across borders, with artists from Little Manila Queens Bayanihan Arts.

At 2 p.m., attend Report Back: Building Movement from the Philippines and Beyond, a panel held on the occasion of Enzo Camacho and Ami Lien: Offerings for Escalante and the closing of Little Manila Queens: Mabuhay!

At 5 p.m., join a roundtable conversation between Studio Museum in Harlem’s 2023–24 Artists in Residence, sonia louise davis, Malcolm Peacock, and Zoe Pulley, moderated by Yelena Keller, Assistant Curator, Studio Museum. ASL interpretation is provided. Plus, throughout the day, hear a playlist on the terrace created by Studio Museum in Harlem Artists in Residence.

From 6 to 8 p.m., check out a DJ set by Anito Soul to celebrate Offerings for Escalante.

The event celebrates the opening of Pass Carry Hold, debuting works by Studio Museum in Harlem Artists in Residence 2023–24; Sohrab Hura: Mother, the first US survey of an artist who explores the trauma of partition and the changing ecosystem of the Indian subcontinent; Enzo Camacho & Ami Lien: Offerings for Escalante, which centers Philippine struggles of resistance on the island of Negros; Jasmine Gregory: Who Wants to Die for Glamour, featuring paintings and a site-specific installation created for PS1; and After the Fire, a participatory mural project by artists Nanibah Chacon, Tatyana Fazlalizadeh, and Layqa Nuna Yawar, with local Queens community groups: Transform America, Make the Road, and members of the Shinnecock, Unkechaug, and Matinecock Nations. It also marks the final day of Mahubay!, a project in Homeroom by Little Manila Queens Bayanihan Arts celebrating diasporic Filipino communities throughout New York.
