What is the revolutionary potential of urban gardens? What can plants teach us about gentrification and community resistance? MoMA Members are invited to join us to consider these questions at a live online conversation with curator Jody Graf and artists Danielle De Jesus, Matthew Schrader, and jackie sumell, whose work is featured in MoMA PS1’s new exhibition Life Between Buildings. Inspired by and intersecting with the history of community gardens, the exhibition explores how artists in New York City have engaged public space through a political and ecological lens.

This event is open to MoMA Members at the Explore category and above. Not a member? Join now to unlock a year of engaging content and events.
