Warm Up is MoMA PS1’s pioneering outdoor music series, bringing audiences the best in live and electronic music—both local and global—across a range of genres. Now celebrating its 20th season, Warm Up has continually featured emerging and established artists in an ambitious program that creates space for experimentation, unique collaborations, and new material. Each summer Saturday, the museum’s galleries remain open as crowds fill the courtyard for an afternoon of music, providing an opportunity for audiences to engage with today’s most experimental and innovative artists. Warm Up takes place within a site-specific installation by the winners of the annual Young Architects Program and striking stage environments by cutting-edge designers. Organized by a dynamic curatorial committee, Warm Up creates a uniquely communal space where visitors share an intimate experience with the artists and exhibitions.
Stay tuned for the announcement of the 2017 season.
