1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
The Print Shop at MoMA PS1
Naturally Occurring Cultural Districts New York (NOCD-NY) brings together a unique alliance of artists, activists, creative manufacturers, and policymakers committed to revitalizing New York City from the neighborhood up.
Join NOCD-NY for a button making workshop with The Laundromat Project (working in Harlem, Bedford-Stuyvesant and the South Bronx), a theatrical excerpt by Downtown Art (working on the Lower East Side), a body movement exercise with STooPS (working in Bedford-Stuyvesant), and a screen printing activity with El Puente (working in Los Sures) and Mobile Print Power (working in Queens, the Bronx and Manhattan).
Participate in activities and witness the power of art and culture as tools for community engagement.
Major support for Greater New York is provided by MoMA’s Wallis Annenberg Fund for Innovation in Contemporary Art through the Annenberg Foundation.
Generous funding is provided by The Contemporary Arts Council of The Museum of Modern Art, The Friends of Education of The Museum of Modern Art, and The Junior Associates of The Museum of Modern Art.
Additional support is provided by the MoMA PS1 Annual Exhibition Fund.
Special thanks to Elham and Tony Salamé.
