Mitchell Joachim and Maria Aiolova, Co-Presidents of Terreform ONE and Walter Meyer, Co-Founder of Local Office Landscape Architecture

Please join RWA for a special panel discussion about the future sustainability of cities with three leading innovators in the fields of ecological design, coastal landscape architecture and urban design.

Amongst his many credentials, Dr. Joachim is a senior Ted Fellow and has been awarded fellowships with  the Moshe Safdie and Martin Society for Sustainability, MIT. He was chose by Wired magazine for "The Smart List: 15 People the Next President Should Listen To" and earned a Ph.D. at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MAUD Harvard University and M.Arch. Columbia University. 

Maria Aiolova is an award-winning educator, architect and urban designer who received the 2013 AIA NY Award for Urban Design and received her M.Arch in Urban Design from Harvard University.

Walter Meyer is an award winning urban designer who won the 2010 AIA Honor Award for the Parque del Litoral in Puerto Rico and the 2008 NY-ASLA Merit Award for "Garden between City and Sea". He received his MLAUD from Harvard's Graduate School of Design.

Terreform ONE [Open Network Ecology] is a non-profit design group that promotes green design in cities. Through their creative projects and outreach efforts, they aim to illuminate the environmental possibilities of New York City and inspire solutions in areas like it around the world.
