My paintings appear sculptural but are flat and mount directly onto the wall
and sometimes even onto the floor. They are oil paint on shaped canvas and wood dowels. These single pieces, diptychs and triptychs, are positioned in precise angles and in relation to each other so that the space and shape of the individual pieces is as important as the surrounding space and shape.
When I draw, I’m excited to put graphite to paper and experience every mark.
The graphite is an extension of my hand and my mind. Naturally evolving
abstract marks interact with designed shapes and elements.
I work to experience, and convey, individual freedom and the liberating sense of vast open spaces.
