Yoichiro Yoda
My name is Yoichiro Yoda
I'm a painter. I make figurative and narrative oil paintings.
For subject matter, I use images from various movies , including silent film and Film Noir characters along with fading New York
theatres and hotels.
I have my own ongoing documentary film series. It currently consists of: "Last Days of 42nd Street", "Last Days of Hotel Pennsylvania",
and "Last Days of Coney Island".
I hope that in my paintings I can express all the exciting immense energy I have channeled from these beautiful and haunting sites.
