In thus series, I started with the simplest of art signifiers—the line. My first painting in this series was Memory (the elephant). Here I took what was a mistake and used it as movement. I eventually added another element when I incorporated volume in the form of white paint. A few works in this series, such as The Great Egret, have the extra feature of color.
