Artist's Statement

In the solitude of the studio, the recent wall works have specific Sanskrit mantras sung over them thousands of times in the course of their creation. Intense layering of parts of the images are done, then erased, "cleared" for the next series of mark making. Finally, the images are digitally layered and re-rendered as a stupa blueprint for vipasana meditation.
