Artist's Statement
The focus of these paintings is the process and ritual of repetitive mark making. The layers of accumulated marks create independent fields, marking time and space. Each layer reveals evidence of marks beneath, showing a history of the painting’s creation and suggesting endless possibilities.
Bio/Resume
Born in New York City. Maintains a studio in St. James, NY. Studied at: LaGuardia High School of Music and Art, Boston University. Recent exhibits include: Lynda Anderson Galleries, Locust Valley, NY; Tria Gallery, New York, NY; Adelphi University, Garden City, NY. Blue Bamboo is in the permanent collection of the Heckscher Museum of Art, Huntington, NY.
