Artist's Statement
Bio/Resume
Sheila Lanham attended the School of Visual Arts (1979-80) and the Maryland Institute College of Art (1984-87) majoring in Painting.
Independent studio work includes AICA Studio Program (NYC), SACI (Studio Art Centers Intl, Firenze, IT) and The Vermont Studio Center (Johnson, VT).
Group exhibitions include The Center for Books Arts (NYC); OIA Gallery (NYC); Elaine Benson Gallery (Bridgehampton, NY); GCCA Gallery (Windham, NY); School 33 (Baltimore, MD) and the Empire Gallery (Baltimore, MD).
Awards include the Francis Burns Harvey Memorial Merit Award, Maryland Institute College of Art, and the Reba Stewart Memorial Merit Award, Maryland Institute College of Art.
She was born in Baltimore, Maryland and currently works in Ridgewood, Queens, NY.
