Artist's Statement

For the past 10 years I have been observing and recording the role walls play in our daily lives, whether urban or domestic. Although mainly photographic, my practice also involves paint, silkscreen, wheat pasting and other mediums inspired from street art.

Bio/Resume

Rhea Karam was born in 1982 in Beirut. She studied painting, photography and design in Paris and attended the International Center of Photography in 2007 where she received a director’s scholarship. In 2009 she published a book on her series Breathing Walls and has exhibited in the US and internationally in both solo and group shows.
