Artist's Statement

I'm interested in the historical and contemporaneous concepts of perception. More specifically the relationships between visual and cognitive perception. For example a slight shift in our visual perception might drastically alter ones cognitive perception, and vice-versa. In my work I shuttle between these two points hoping to strike a balance. As a result a hybrid form emerges, a form that creates a co-dependency between all attributes and which one falls outside of default categories of fact and fiction.
