Artist's Statement
The work is about passage, transformation, reconfiguration. Overlaps within the seemingly disparate. I’m interested in the transformative tension between self/community, authenticity/solidarity. These contrapuntal nuances are explored through a language of the female body: cycles, retention, release, expansion, contraction, space. I deliberately choose materials and subjects of personal significance and experiences that resonate with contemporary conditions.
