Bio/Resume

http://pablomalbilal.blogspot.com/

Pablo Mustafa Albilal is a Lebanese-Colombian-American artist who paints using his own cryptic cartoon language. His cultural background caused him to draw inspiration from propaganda posters, pre-columbian art, Sesame Street and SpongeBob.

I use color palettes that have been with me since my first bed sheets, stuffed animals, and toys. It is with these Technicolor binoculars I peer out at the cosmos; sift through the culture in my brain, and laser it onto the canvas. Welcome to my palace, my humble shelter.
