Nikki Katsikas
Found imagery has been an inspiration to me since my teenage days when I would decorate my room with magazine clippings. I began using these clippings as a source for my paintings while still at school. Today I continue this practice also using old family photographs, sketches I've made from films, and imagined scenes as sources for my paintings. There is no one common theme throughout my work, I simply paint subjects that interest me. The pleasure that I get from these images is what I wish to convey with each painting.
