Born in Tehran, Iran, Negar Behbahani is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and
works in Tehran and New York. She received her B.A. in Music in Tehran.
She continued her interest in video art, sound installation and photography.
Behbahani has exhibited her videos and installations in locations including #6
Berlinale Talent Campus, Berlin, Germany; Women’s Film and Media Arts
Festival, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington D.C.; Women’s
Voices from the Muslim world, Los Angeles.
She has been working and collaborating as Sound Artist in Serbia, Germany,
Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iran.
Behbahani is part of the Global Groove, 1973/2012 featuring artists from the Far
East, Middle East, Africa, and Europe at The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum
at Michigan State University, Michigan.
She is currently studying Interactive Telecommunications program at Tisch
school of Arts, NYU, New York.
