Artist's Statement
I am interested in playing within the language of abstraction. My process is a search to find an alchemy in the mix between a basic unit: A mark or stoke and how it transitions to the pictorial -- yet remains a painted moment.
Bio/Resume
Molly Herman was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. She studied art at both the School of Visual Art in New York City and Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. She currently lives and works in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Ms. Herman is represented by John Davis Gallery in Hudson, New York.
