Mitchell Cooper is a young sculptor who has been taking molds of some of the top runway models and creating full-body nude pieces in a modern romanesque style. The goal of this series is to reflect and celebrate today beauty ideals in sculptural form.
Mitchell Cooper is a young self taught sculptor who moved to New York seven years ago with no intentions of working in the arts. However, while working at his first job in the city for JPMorgan Chase, he began making small drawings in his cubicle out or boredom. The pieces were arranged to converse with each other on the ordinariness and ridiculousness of life in the modern work place, he calls this first installation “Cube Fever.” Just one year after beginning his finance career, Cooper quit his job and has considered himself an artist ever since.
