I deconstruct found images and re-present them on canvas through layered stages of abstraction. At first glance my processes can appear commercial or mechanical, but a closer look reveals handmade origins and nuanced gestures inspired by philosophical and sociological questions. My paintings interrogate normative patterns of seeing, transforming familiar signifiers into the unfamiliar.
