Michelle Mackey
In my work, I am examining what memory looks like.
I am remembering a place: some parts are missing, some are fuzzy and some are bleached out.
Any place where a human has spent time is layered with intangibles, and only the memory can unlock these layers.
My work suggests that the profundity is in the layers.
