Artist's Statement

Culling from a dense history of abstract painting and 1980’s graphic design, my work explores the space where painting and design collide. I aim to challenge one’s perceptions of place and time through the reexamination of familiar content informed through a specific generational perspective. By filtering visual tropes often relegated to “low brow” status through an informed abstract lens, I hope to uncover an authentic sentiment facilitated by the offset of time and space.
