Artist's Statement

I am a minimalist draftsman from Arkansas, forever entrenched in the brutal beauty of the South. I am tired of sub par minimalist work. I only wish to create work that grabs you by the genitals and makes you feel something deeply.I draw in an attempt to understand the core power of visual art. I am still in a process of moving backwards, diving deep into the dark and beautiful underbelly of drawing. I am a draftsman of darkness, sifting through the elements, swirling in charcoal powder storms, seeking answers in the most primordial medium.
