The body of work focuses on embracing and accepting the ephemeral. These short-lived and transcended moments have a way of lingering in the mind forever through memory. The work investigates the idea of permanence and time keeping in mind the idea of the ephemeral. The work is drawn from personal experience and ephemeral moments. By using a variety of materials, the work becomes physical artifacts of ephemerality. The work is often glazed with humor or different physical substances to lure the viewer into this ephemeral moment with the work. The work appears camouflaged at first, yet upon closer examination each piece reveals an inner actuality that questions the idea of the ephemeral as a feeling or opinion.
