Artist's Statement
Laura Johnson
Our bodies end at our fingertips, can we say the same about the self? Does our sense of self surpass our physical restrictions? My work is an exploration of this concept. I am interested in the infinitely divisible line, specifically that which separates the figure from his or her surroundings. In my work I consider this false separation of the individuals body and the outside world.
