LARRY MANTELLO
My work is inspired by the hope, decadence, and glory of American pop consumer culture. Along the way I have attempted to retrace my life to a simpler, yet more complicated past - my childhood. In doing so, I have aroused an appreciation for the value of pleasure and the fantasies, promises, and disappointments that have brought me to this place. Moments I have embraced, but wish I could escape.
