Larissa Borteh
The hand reacts immediately:
Intuitively gesticulating with the sound and physical tension created between tool and surface.
I work frantically to transcribe the visceral path of my mind through imagery. The surface becomes a distressed entanglement of agitated marks and fractured figures. Facial features, appendages, and complete structures are displaced, multiplied, and pliant. Notions of polarity, malice, and chaos emerge in allegorical fragments.
My forms teeter between creation and destruction.
