Artist's Statement
I feel immense pressure to create something great. Seeing Jeff Koons, and Damien Hirst, OPRAH, makes me expect a lot from myself.
Bio/Resume
Kunle Martins, born downtown Manhattan in 1980 of a Nigerian artist that attended Pratt, blah blah.
Kunle ran away at the age of 16 which is when he began his career in graffiti and really started to supported himself with his shoplifting.
Kunle started the IRAK graffiti crew which is recognized world wide. Kunle's crew IRAK includes many well known artist like Steve Powers,, Dan Colen, Ryan McGinely, an the late Dash Snow. Today Kunle supports himself by exploiting his numerous talents in the creative fields.
