Kristin Reger
I explore dress as social armor and as a platform for conflicted identity.
These portraits tell invented narratives through dress and its extension– or dilution– into surrounding objects.
The things most close to a person– clothing and personal items– are utilized in the drawings as screens for projection.
Here, I include fantastical but specific details to suggest a story far more interesting than the clothing and objects themselves.
