KISEOK KIM
I explore some sort of human condition in contemporary culture and the relationship between the self and the world. The figures in my work are used as objects to illustrate my own relationship to the world or feelings I have.
I often refer to pictures from the internet or magazines for the expression of an idealized person in contemporary culture. I try to standardize the face on canvas, but at the same time, to find something unique to say. Therefore, each face is completely separate and so with every new painting my passion is renewed.
