Artist's Statement

As a mixed-media artist, I am continually moving between processes and materials. My current monoprint series is an investigation of physically incorporating the materials I use in my textile explorations with my two-dimensions prints. In this new series, I have been experimenting with printing and inking fabric that is traditionally associated with the themes of courtship, flirtation, and sensuality. This monoprint series is part of a larger body of work that has occupied me for the last year in which I deal with issues of anticipation, tension, and body language.
