Joan B. Myers
My work focuses on pristine composition, vivid color, shapes, patterns, and altered perceptions. I love the serenity of creating visual images and the sense of being in the precious moment. The pleasure of giving the viewer a different prospective delights me.
I received a M.A. in Human Development from Fairleigh Dickinson University. My undergradute work highlights mastery of the photography option at Brookdale Community College. My work has been exhibited in a variety of prestigious juried shows. I received the Marty Connelly Memorial Landscape Award for "Snowy Excitement." The judge was Margaret O'Reilly, Curator of Fine Art, New Jersey State Museum. I also received Honorable Mention for "I Like Your Coat." The judge was Donna Gustafson, Ph.D, Liaison for the Mellon Program and Assistant Curator of the American Art, Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum, Rutgers University. Both award were received at the Guild of Creative Art, Shrewsbury, New Jersey.
