Artist's Statement

I create stylized versions of reality that’s artistic process embraces both control and spontaneity, through layering paint and rusting the metal surface I work on. My paintings are inspired by an appreciation of architecture, design and spatial relationships. Employing iconic imagery allows the viewer to have a degree of familiarity with the subjects; however the  stylization and technique encourage viewers to experience the work on a more personal level.
