Artist's Statement
My photographs, entitled "the Dreamer", are images of my father based around his sleep apnea. While sleeping, he uses a specialized machine to help his breathing. This causes a sort of artificial sleep; in the dream like sense I have created, I investigate the vulnerability of the most masculine figure in my life. The images are a back and forth between the frailty of a human and the masculinity in man as well as the process of aging and the will to stay young.
