My background in architecture developed my perception and understanding of physical space, and has given root to my analysis of and conceptual approach to photography and video. I am interested in the dynamics of the urban environment and how its many transformations over time reflect the activities, movement and people that create an event- the occurrence, the experience of space, and the way these qualities animate an architectural setting. Through photography I attempt to make sense of these moments by analyzing, deconstructing, and reinterpreting their intricacies beyond their functional practice or purpose. My objective is to create images based on these events in order to portray and explore the multilayered experiences of occupied space.
