Artist's Statement

t seems that everything I've ever done as an artist has always led to something new. Aside from taking photographs, I also produce and direct documentary films and have produced an Off-Broadway (Variety/Burlesque) show.

I've photographed subjects as diverse as architectural details in Italy, Dachau Concentration Camp, the surrealistic landscapes of Cappadocia (Turkey), the Jewish Cemeteries of Saints in Morocco, The Cities of the Dead in New Orleans and transgender/nightlife personalities in NYC.

I’ve spent a great deal of time studying the history of art and photography, in particular the work of Edward Hopper, Diane Arbus, E. J. Bellocq, and Charles Sheeler.

I gravitate towards subject matter that seems out of the ordinary, and for now a camera is the best tool to express my vision. Taking photographs has always been a spiritual experience for me.
