gabriele picco
I like being surprised by objects and use them to make sculptures.
Few years ago I started using dust (from friend’s vacuum cleaners) to make sculptures and paintings. When I put the dust on the canvas I can see people’s stories. The dust paintings are like novels condensed in a square: you can see little objects, clips, hair, clothes buttons, receipts... you can read the paintings, follow the traces.
Gabriele Picco had solo and group shows in Italy ( Francesca Minini gallery, Milan, Le case D’arte, Milan, Massimo Minini, Brescia, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin, Gamec Museum of contemporary art, Bergamo,Trevi Flash Art Museum, Museum of contemporary art of Trento) and abroad
