Artist's Statement
I don’t have a specific style, approach, or ideology, It seems so much more appropriate at this point in time to be willing to try anything. No standard formula or way of making a painting, it’s always more like, ok what’s going to happen? Painted somewhere between awkwardness, chance and intuition, as long as I’m not making the same painting over and over again, it’s ok.
Bio/Resume
Franklin Preston was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and lives and works in New York City. He received his BFA from Bennington College where he studied with Amy Sillman, Joshua Decter and Pat Adams. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in New York, Miami, Berlin, Hamburg, Torino, Milan, Bologna, Naples, Basel and Paris.
