Felix R. Cid
My work stimulates the recognition of the confusion we all face when confronting "reality". In general I question which is that real state of things when they only exist through our experiences. My photographs are born from my fascination for that noisy choreography of disorganization and unruly human forms. The way I like to see it, everything out there is for my desire. It is an unbelievable experience to have the entire world performing only for yourself. The work is about that experience. Usually I work with hundreds of images to create a final photograph. Whether when I am out there taking photographs or back in the computer, my process is based in spontaneous gestures. That allow me to always learn something new from the work. The result is a unique photograph which does not correspond directly with anything that is in the world. It is a new world.
