Erin Rachel Hudak
My work explores the juxtapositions between our deepest desires and the undoing of our selves, our environment and each other. I utilize images mined from mass media to create collages, drawings and paintings that are "as much poetic as they are political and playful as they are perceptive." writes Pauli Ochi.
I am increasingly more interested in the history, or story of ourselves that has been supported by years of imagery reflecting only what we wish to see, or believe. When I adjoin these images in certain ways I am able to tell an entirely different story.
