Erik Holzworth was born in Milwaukee in 1974 to figurative painter Susan Holzworth. At age 3 Erik moved overseas to Varese Italy, and years later returned to the United States, to metro Los Angeles where he attended Laguna Beach High School "Home of the Artists." While in school Erik developed an interest in ceramics and painting in many mediums. Upon graduation Erik traveled extensively through Europe and the United States studying art history abroad. Living in New York City for the past decade, Erik keeps his studio near the former United Nations building in Flushing Meadows Park. Mr Holzworth commits himself to pushing New York city's tradition of abstract expressionism forward.
