There is an internal pull in me, uncomfortable until fulfilled or forgotten. That pull is many times a creative idea. When this happens, more times than not, I turn to photography. As I continued with my education and my interests branched out, I kept going back to photography, the medium with so many branches of its own, I never feel trapped by its limitations or lack thereof. The basic film to paper is a good feeling, but I still need and want to be more involved. The chemical creation of tones, trusting the lens-less lens, changing the intended home for the emulsion, not worrying about the potential failure of the film to catch my intention-less intentions, because it will or it will not work. I love tweaking something and getting it right, only because it felt like the right thing to do.My work is forever building on itself, taking the old and making it new, challenging the status quo, playing alone and letting you watch.
