Artist's Statement

My works deal with the very nature of human desires and explores economic, social, and financial markets including the contemporary art market. Through both sculpture and painting, I examine the nature of desire, the exploitation of man, and the human condition as a whole. My work also examines the idea of the ready-made through the appropriation, exultation, as well as debasement of the work of Andy Warhol. Through both reproduction and manipulation, I explore how these works can function both conceptually and as a form of currency in a capitalistic and exploitative society.
