Artist's Statement
My paintings are abstract, layered, and infused with color. In some, I juxtapose different ‘worlds’ by creating windows that allow entry into deeper layers of the canvas. In others, I generate tension between surface and depth, and between differentiation and integration, yet seek to resolve the seeming polarities through an overall pictorial balance.
Differentiation and integration are strong forces within my life and work.
