Birgit Wolfram was born in Dueren, Germany in 1986.
Upon completion of High School, she travelled to Los Angeles where she started her studies in Figurative and Abstract Painting at the European School of Music and Art.
In 2006, she returned to Germany to continue her Studies at the Kunst Akademie in Dueren and the Koelner Malschule where she also taught Drawing and Painting.
At 22, she left Germany to persue Art in New York where she studied at the Art Students League. Shortly thereafter, she received a scholarship to participate in the Intense Studio Program at the National Academy of Fine Arts.
In 2010, she held her first Solo Show at a gallery in Downtown Brooklyn.
Her work has won awards including the prestigious Vasari Prize and is part of several Private Collections in New York City, Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg.
