Artist's Statement

These photographs were made in 2009, mostly in Bluemont, Virginia on a 300 acre
cattle farm, about 45 miles west of Washington, D.C.

Each picture, which averages approximately 80 x 75”, is made from about 200 to 350
frames shot digitally over an hour or so. I use a programable robotic camera mount
similar to, and derived from, the one attached to the Mars Lunar Rover. After being
shot, the images are combined in the computer.
