Years of foraging through a hoarder’s house, restricted from wasting (trash< space = wasted space), informs my crafting sensibility as I like used objects to collage and videopodge. My weight of commodity accumulation is shed by reformulating objects/ideas into re-useable artifacts. To collage is to collect and redistribute through process and form, and yet is close to a dim reflection of hoarding. A sleight of hand from consuming to commenting.
I am from a southwestern desert corner, where borders are met by minutemen and summers meet the devil’s living room. In school I studied queer philosophy. In life I jack of trades for money and produce artifacts for excitement. I curate a window-front gallery in the east village. I make videos, collage, photos, performances, installations, pragmatic leather goods, and a lot of work yet to be seen. My studio is split down the middle and shared with my partner and hotdog.
