New Commission: Anne Imhof
Sunday, January 11, 2015
12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
For the third consecutive year, MoMA PS1 will commission a new work by an upcoming international artist. In her inaugural US solo project, Anne Imhof (German, born 1978) will work with a group of performers, composers, and lawyers to reveal the relations between dominance and submission and slowness and passivity through structural motives in space. The result is a picture gradually emerging in time.
Sunday Sessions is organized by Jenny Schlenzka, Associate Curator with Mike Skinner, Producer, Alex Sloane, Curatorial Assistant and Rosey Selig-Addiss, Associate Producer.
Sunday Sessions and the VW Dome at MoMA PS1 are made possible by a partnership with Volkswagen of America.
Major support is provided by MoMA’s Wallis Annenberg Fund for Innovation in Contemporary Art through the Annenberg Foundation.
