Artist Luther Price returns with his first performance in 8 years, How Deep Is Your Love?, a multi-media ice scream clown dance party at MoMA PS1. Revisiting his 1994 performance, Scary Transformations, Price will embody various clown personas, while a live-feed and source footage video installation fills the VW Dome, building to a confectionary climax sure to chill to the bone. The performance, commissioned specifically for this series, expands upon works from the permanent collection, which includes Price’s unique film prints Home and Mother (both 1999).

Dirty Looks NYC, a platform for queer experimental film and video, goes on location—to the film collection at MoMA—staging alternative screening interventions at MoMA and MoMA PS1 throughout the summer and fall. Programs take place once a month, July through October.

PARTICIPANT INC and ARTBOOK @ MoMA PS1 invite you to join Tabboo! signing copies of his new monograph

3:00 PM · VW Dome

Tabboo! The Art of Stephen Tashjian, published by Damiani is the first monograph devoted to this legendary underground painter, puppeteer, and performer. Chronicling the artist’s arrival to the apocalyptic East Village of the ‘80s the publication also presents a vast archive of flyers, snapshots, and other ephemera that chart the development of the drag performance scene from the Pyramid Club to Wigstock.
