Artist Sergej Jensen hosts an afternoon of music and
performance, featuring ongoing, collaborative acts such as Fanki & the
Frogs, Fendercat and the Lame Gallery Band, and Insignificant Force. The event celebrates
the release of the artist's recent catalogue, published by Distanz, and coincides
with MoMA PS1's exhibition Sergej Jensen.
Jensen (Danish, b. 1973) lives and works in New York and Berlin. His work has been exhibited in a number of major international group exhibitions, including Annette Kelm, Sergej Jensen, Wolfgang Breuer, Kunstwerke Berlin (2009); Of Mice and Men, the Berlin Biennial (2006); and the São Paulo Biennial (2004). Solo exhibitions have been presented at Portikus, Frankfurt am Main (2010); Aspen Art Museum (2010); Malmö Konsthall (2008); Pinakothek der Moderne (with Henrik Olesen), Munich (2008); Kunsthalle Bergen (2008); and Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin (2007).

Saturday Sessions is a program of events designed to introduce wide-ranging directions in performance. The experimental program is structured around collaboration and focuses on engaging MoMA PS1 visitors in a unique, two-hour-long experience. Each session features a different host and will occur every other Saturday of the month between 3:00 and 5:00pm in the Third Floor Main Gallery.
